I’m the kid who ruined my eyes thanks to reading by flashlight under the covers. Now I help others read, write, and appreciate books, too. My passion is the written word in all of its impressive incarnations. And I’m always on the prowl for new writing, coaching, editing, speaking, teaching, or other creative projects–I’ve yet to run across an opportunity too small or too big!

As The Picture Book Doctor™, I help celebrities write stories for kids and bring them to life on the page, stage, and screen. I’m also a Contributing Editor at Writer’s Digest, and I’ve spent years as an editorial director in children’s book publishing. 

All told, I’ve written 150+ books–including series and branded titles such as Superman, Pokémon, the NFL, and John Cena.
